I have been busy at This Ugly Beautiful City. Since it will be a while before I email the free issue of the newsletter, I thought I would alert you to some of the new guides and posts I recently published on my website.
I am also trying out a feature I’ve wanted to use for a while: publishing a post to PAID subscribers and choosing a date to open it up to FREE subscribers.
What’s new
On the Downtown Los Angeles page, I will post a series of guides to mini-neighborhoods within a larger DTLA.
Downtown Los Angeles Historic Core guide–I have a cool historical image or two in this guide.
A newsletter-only notification of a FREE historic core itinerary–Spend A Day in DTLA. I want to do this as my next tour.
What I am working on
I am working on a spin-off of This Ugly Beautiful City. Kristen Fung Travels will be where I talk about my favorite places to travel, eat, drink, see art, and stay around the world. I am also working on a new website and recently launched a new newsletter, Out of Office Curated.
My first city featured will be Los Angeles, and then I will talk about Minneapolis and Montreal.

The next Los Angeles Curated will come out on October 6th. It is so full of things to do. The theme is Halloween all year round, with an additional twenty things to do in October. Until then, I hope you enjoy Family Style and Art Walk & Roll from last month’s issue.
The next FREE issue of the newsletter will be out around October 20th.
Founders, I haven’t forgotten you. I hope you enjoyed how to find Italy in Los Angeles. I also have something in the works for you.
